I hope everyone else liked the changeOct 02, 2008

I have to admit that the main reason (other than my daughters' love of webkinz) that I purchased the first 2 series was because I am a gaming addict. I play Magic the Gathering and loved the idea of having a game to play with the kids. I did not read too much on the release of series 3, but was very disappointed to find numerous changes to the product line. The cards are better quality (production-wise) but the loss of the gaming aspect and drastic reduction in "prize codes" is devastating. My daughters do not sit around looking at the cards. I guess I may be in the minority, but Webkinz has lost a trading card customer with our household.

Great improvement for card collectors!Mar 07, 2009
By WhidbeyKat These are more like "traditional" trading cards. I collected the Disney (Lion King, Pocahontas) cards as a kid and seeing these reminded me of those. I like the idea of putting them into card pages for admiring versus previous collections of playing games. Way to Ganz! Also, the feature codes are unique items exclusive to these cards, a bonus from previous series because it was disappointing to spend money on Series 1 and 2 and get W-shop items.

Webkinz is going downhill!Dec 26, 2008
By sammy sun The series 3 trading cards only offer 1 feature code per pack. That is a huge reduction from series 2, where you could over 3 per pack. the cards are good quality and stickers are in each pack but my kids are only interested in the feature codes.

Series 3 disappointmentFeb 08, 2009

The drastic reduction in codes was a major disappointment. Don't kid yourself .. it isn't the pretty cards or the stickers that the kids can't wait to open. It is the codes, the prizes, the unexpected delight at getting something unique. This series (3) is NOT worth the money.
Clearly the Best of the Webkinz Trading Card Series'Dec 27, 2011
By J. Hope I got a box of these as a Christmas gift last year. They are the first series that comes with stickers (this was before they sold the stickers separately) and the first to have unique prizes although series 4 has these qualities now as well. I still think series 3 has the best stickers and prizes. The other reviewers complaining about the reduction in the number of feature codes per pack either are not thinking ahead or are really not very good at playing Webkinz. Yes, there is only one feature code per pack but it is an item that isn't just kinzcash or something you can easily buy yourself in the w-shop with a little bit of skill and self-discipline. If you are not a serious webkinz gamer like some of the others writing negative reviews of this product, then you really ought to stick with series 1 or 2. For my money, series 3 is by far the best, with series 4 a close second. These are good for many hours of fun with your webkinz!
