This item was very sturdy and did exactly what you would expect. However after 12 months the rings rusted lightly. After 2 years it was heavy rust.
This is a nice item for short term use, but i would never use it for the long term as it will rust within 2-3 years.

I bought this notebook for my 13-year old grandson to keep his baseball card collection in. He really likes it a lot. I wish the front and back were a little thicker to be more sturdy to hold up to a 13-year old handling it a lot.
