Have used this display case several times to showcase signed basketballs for a fundraiser. Signed sports memorabilia is always a big hit at fundraisers. It is essential to display the basketball in a way that truly highlights the basketball and signature, to maximize the bidding. This particular display case is perfect because the basketball sits up off the base of the case. There is also a hole in the center of the bottom platform in which the basketball sits so it doesn't roll around. The gold risers add an extra touch of importance to the entire look of the display. The back mirror helps make the basketball stand out.
This display case is priced very reasonably for what you get. It is well made - very solid - and it looks good. The cover is acrylic though - not glass. It can scratch. The high end (and more expensive) display cases generally come with a glass cover (no scratching, excellent clarity of view), a wooden (e.g., cherry) base, and a mirrored bottom. The glass may come with some level of UV protection.
I ultimately use both the acrylic and glass cases. I use the more cost effective acrylic display case for fundraisers (cost is critical) and most basketballs I display in my home. I use the higher end glass cases for special (i.e., expensive) basketballs such as a team signed ball where I want to really showcase it as well as protect the basketball from the UV light.

Looks good. Easy to assemble. Acrylic looks good but overall is very light. Seems sturdy enough to keep off curious hands.

Got the display in a timely manner. It was easy to assemble and put up. Displays our local school's state champs signed basketball. Very nice piece.

I had seen autographed basketballs displayed in nice cases, so I purchased this one for our Pat Summit autographed ball. The case arrived well-protected in the shipping box and, with a little wiping off of dust, was on the shelf in a matter of minutes. The autographed basketball really looks sharp now on the shelf in our office.
