All the engineers at work are hookedDec 10, 2009
By A. Mountz My whole team at work loves to play this during our lunch breaks. I've also played it with my parents and inlaws, and 9 yr old cousins. Its fun for everyone! Blocus Trigon is a little easier for me to think about shape wise compared to Blocus classic. (triangles vs square "tetris" shaped pieces) This game works best with 2 or 3 people. With 4 people its best to play Blocus classic because its harder for everyone to gang up on one player. (which happens frequently when we play 4 player Trigon because the 4th person always ends up starting closer to one of the other 3 players)
The premise of the game is to get rid of all of your pieces. There are 21 different shapes each, made up of between 1 and 6 triangles. You MUST touch the corner of one of your existing pieces, but cannot touch the side of any of your existing pieces. Touching opponents pieces doesn't matter. People can be ruthless cutting each other off and blocking other people from putting down their pieces or expanding across the board. It makes for a lot of fun!
I rated this game as less durable just because there are a lot of little pieces and it could be very easy to lose one. Once you lose one, you have to contact the company to get a replacement, or you can't play with that color (one less player).

Great game!Sep 09, 2009

Hours of competitive enjoyment! Though, you could easily lose pieces and the longer weird shapes do break if you're not careful (my friend has this game, for years, and one piece was broken).

Beats classic Blokus any day.May 19, 2010

This game is a lot of fun and much better than the regular Blokus game. There are a lot more directions that you can go with this game and you don't feel stuck as fast like in the original game. Highly recommended!

Triple Threat TreatJan 19, 2010
By Jonathan L. Langlois
"Salt and Light"
This game is great as it combines the elements of chess with risk in a power grabbing mulitdirectional covering of the board. If you are looking for a great time with four people this game is for you. If you don't like card games or board games you have to try this game. It is like no other game you have tried before. But it and try it. You will not be disappointed.

Great game and the best version for 3 players.Oct 16, 2011
By BravoSierraBravo We have had the regular Blokus version for a while now and while it is good for 2 and 4 players, it is not that great with 3 players.
The triangular aspect of this game makes it a lot better for 3 players which is how we primarily play (until some of our other kids get older).
This game is simple to learn and teach to others (less than 1 minute) and provides lots of playability.
